November, 2010 Construction work has now finished on the new Southgate Primary Care Centre on Brighton Road in Crawley. GPI worked with NHS West Sussex and the Doctors to create the new 1,300 sq metre, 2 Storey medical centre to house the 3 GP practice along with additional accommodation. The former premises, designed as a residential dwelling and already adapted and extended, were inadequate for the delivery of modern primary care. The new purpose built medical centre has larger consulting rooms and the added benefit of a minor surgery suite all designed to provide flexibility for potential future expansion. The building is now also DDA compliant and includes parking which was not available at the previous surgery. The new facility represents a landmark development on the southern side of Crawley offering patients purpose built premises and the practice the ability to deliver primary care fit for the 21st Century.
