| September, 2010 Extension to the Chapelthorpe Medical Centre now complete
The works comprised a first floor extension to one of the main wings of the building; this created an additional 170 m² of space. The ground floor of the wing was also reconfigured, changing the existing admin areas to clinical rooms. All of the work was carried out whilst the practice continued to work from the premises. In total eight new consulting rooms have been created together with larger admin and staff areas. The building works, which took 16 weeks to complete, were carried out by ADH Construction of Horbury in Wakefield. Transform Architects of Ossett in Wakefield designed the extension and Summers Inman acted as CDM coordinator. Cheryl Wilden the Practice Manager said: "I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to GPI's David Sadler for the fantastic new extension that has been completed and officially been handed over to the practice this week. The additional consulting and administration space will make a huge improvement to our working lives." Enquiries: |
